This product is designed for the older direct mount Geissele 416 handguards. If you have the new MK15 416 handguard with M-Lok slots then you should use the M-Lok or Picatinny Offset Scout Mount, or M-Lok or Picatinny Side Scout Mount.
The Patent Pending Arisaka Offset Scout Mount for Geissele SMR 416 handguards was developed at the request of a United States special operations unit. This is a contract overrun, with a very limited number available for civilian sales.
The Offset Scout Mount attaches directly to the threaded inserts on the Geissele SMR 416, eliminating additional Picatinny rails and Picatinny mounts. Three lateral light positions allow the user to tuck the light closer to the top rail or gain clearance around top rail mounted accessories like laser illuminators. In particular, there is enough clearance for the larger Modlite OKW and PLH heads to fit next to the NGAL, LA-5/PEQ, AN/PEQ15 and ATPIAL-C. It will also allow lights to clear the QD lever on the Steiner DBAL I2, A3, and D2.
In addition to three lateral light positions, the mount also allows fore and aft adjustment so the user can fine tune the location of the light to their setup.
Compatible with the Modlite OKW and PLH 18350 and 18650 lights, Surefire M300A, M300B, M300C, M300V, M312, M322, M312V, M313V, M322V, M600B, M600C, M600P, M600U, M600V, M600DF, M612, M622, M603V, M612V, M622V, Streamlight Protac Rail Mount 1, 2 and HL-X (non-laser), Olight Odin, and Arisaka 300 and 600 Series.

The mount is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodized. Includes all necessary screws. Requires IP25/T25 and IP20/T20 Torx drivers for installation (not included). Recommended torque: 30 inch lbs for mount screws and 20 inch lbs for light body screws with Loctite 222 or 243.
